How It Works

When injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous tissue, PLLA micro-particles fill the treated area and stimulate a mild inflammatory response that leads to increased collagen synthesis. This process gradually restores volume, improves skin structure, and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. The change occurs over several months, creating a natural transformation. The effects are noticeable for up to 2 years. Typically, a series of 3 treatments 6-8 weeks apart is recommended. Sculptra™ has a long safety profile and has approvals with Health Canada and FDA.

What To Expect

Sculptra™ is an in-office treatment that takes 45-60 minutes. A series of injections are administered by a trained healthcare provider. Common side effects are related to injection and include bruising, swelling, mild discomfort and in duration which resolves within a few days.
