BOTOX® Cosmetic
Botox is a safe and effective way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It works by temporarily relaxing the muscles in your face thus smoothing out lines or wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movements.
Botulinum toxin is also an effective method for treating hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. It is most useful in the underarms but can also be effective in palms or feet.
Benefits
By relaxing the muscles in the forehead and other areas you can quickly achieve a more rejuvenated and youthful appearance. It’s highly effective when treating frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet. More subtly, it can lift eyebrows, reduce down turning of the corners of the mouth, eliminate vertical neck bands, and even dimpling on the chin.
How It Works
The main ingredient in neuromodulators is Botulinum Toxin. Once injected into specific muscles, it acts on the nerve endings to prevent muscle contraction. This will relax the muscle and can temporarily reduce dynamic lines from common facial movements.
What To Expect
The treatment is quick, simple and comfortable. Your treatment can be completed within 10-15 minutes. You are free to resume normal daily activity, apply makeup to the area, and return to work the same day.
Results
You can start to see the effect within 2-5 days with maximum results at 2 weeks. Your treatment can offer up to 16 weeks of natural looking, softening of problem areas. The results will gradually fade, at which point subsequent treatment is recommended.
Downtime
None.
Possible Adverse Effects
- Potential bruising and/or tenderness may occur at injection site.
- Potential temporary muscle asymmetry may occur, which in most situations can be corrected.
Considerations
If you have an upcoming event, we recommend treating 2-3 weeks before, for best results
